Play-School came to be after the birth of Jayme and Kevin Massey's now five year old daughter. Having a Master's degree in Education Jayme was looking for a program in which she and her daughter could participate together that was not only fun, but educationally based and developmentally appropriate. Jayme had decided to leave her teaching career to stay home with her daughter and had planned on enrolling in a parent participation program with her daughter so that they could spend time with each other learning, playing and meeting other friends.

After an extensive search she found that there was simply not a program being offered that met her high standards of play with a purpose or her requirement of superior customer service. Knowing exactly what she was looking for in a program she set out to create a place for parents and their little ones to come and learn through play together by means of carefully designed and guided lesson plans.

As her daughter got older Jayme realized another need in the community...Kinders. Play-School opened the doors to its exclusive Kinders program in the 06/07 school year and has been growing ever since. After much success the Massey's took the next step in their business plan and franchised their business system. In 2005 Toddlearn® Franchising, LLC was created. Jayme sold Play-School in 2007 in order to dedicate the time necessary to expand their business. Play-School is now one of three Toddlearn® schools.

After being away from Play-School for a year, Jayme realized that she was far more happy running her own school rather than running the franchise business. She was lucky enough to have the opportunity to own Play-School again and is very happy to be back at the helm. Jayme loves teaching and watching little ones grow and develop in her programs and is truly thankful to every family that joins the Play-School family.
