Play-School believes that Parent Participation is the key to a successful school year no matter what grade a child is in. We encourage parental involvement and welcome you to stay and participate in our daily activities for as long as you would like. You are welcome to stay at school with your child and volunteer to help out in the classroom, or you are more than welcome to pick them up at the end of class. The choice is yours! Play-School is BOTH a play based and an academically based Minis program. The children are learning academic concepts, however they have so much fun that if you asked them what they did at school today they would say...play. Through positive reinforcement of desired behaviors, redirection of unwanted behaviors and through the teaching of respect of others we strive to offer an educationally, emotionally and socially superior Minis environment.

3 Field Trips (subject to change)
1. Bishops Pumpkin Farm
2. Nimbus Fish Hatchery
3. Zoo

Children will be exposed to a comprehensive curriculum where they will be introduced to and master the following skills; Spanish vocabulary, shapes, colors, letters, pre-reading skills, printing, math, science, music and movement and physical education. Although “academic” skills will be learned, the Play-School philosophy as it has always been is that children learn through play. Through hands on experiences, teacher led activities and student exploration during free-play each child will be allowed to learn at their own pace. The Play-School Minis program focuses on the social, physical, cognitive and emotional development of each child. We recognize that all children learn through different modalities as well as learn at their own pace. Your child is an individual and his/her individuality will always be celebrated at Play-School Minis.
