Play-School is BOTH a play-based and an academically based school. We provide the area's premier Kindergarten Readiness program! The children are learning academic concepts, however, they have so much fun that if you asked them what they did at school today they would say...play. Through positive reinforcement of desired behaviors, redirection of unwanted behaviors, and through the teaching of respect of others we strive to offer an educationally, emotionally, and socially superior Kinders environment.
Children will be exposed to a comprehensive curriculum where they will be introduced to and master the following skills: Spanish vocabulary, shapes, colors, letters, pre-reading skills, printing, math, science, music and movement, and physical education. Although "academic" skills will be learned, the Play-School philosophy as it has always been is that children learn through play. Through hands on experiences, teacher led activities, and student exploration during free-play, each child will be allowed to learn at their own pace. The Play-School Kinders program focuses on the social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development of each child. We recognize that all children learn through different modalities as well as learn at their own pace. Your child is an individual and his or her individuality will always be celebrated at Play-School Kinders.
